What happened here is the equivalent to using sat nav for a route you know, but then getting lost when you lose the GPS signal
Before the introduction of automated line calls, the umpire would have simply overruled the lack of call from the human line judge. Instead, with a complex automated system in place, the umpire seemed at a loss about what do and therefore lost his authority over the game; a soft form of AI takeover.

Sure Start and its reintroduction should been among the first things mentioned at the start of this Labour administration. If it was and the media didn’t pick it up, then they should have shouted louder about it.
