Nice one Matt – where have you moved to -Tynemouth? North Shields?? Whitley Bay???

  2. Matt Says:

Whitley Bay, just down the road from those tacky sea-front bars!

Fantastic – K’s Brother lives round the corner in Monkseaton – we’ll pop round for a cup of tea next time we’re up. Oh! and have you discovered Bay Books in Whitley Bay yet – very good for second hand vinyl.

I think there is an echo in your website.

  6. Matt Says:

Yeah… I’ve been in Bay Books a few times. No doubt I’ll be visiting much more now though!

A place by the sea? Sounds great to me. Someone sent ’round a mail at work today – “You know you’ve been living in London too long when…” (eg: “5. You step over people who collapse on the Tube”). This is one reason I’ve so far resisted my flatmate’s urges to move closer to the City.

Take a good lungful of salt air at sunrise, watching the sun warm the grey from the clouds, take a look at the wet sand beach through the slow focus of watering eyes and think. Think about what you are going to do today, step away from the house and know that whatever happens, whatever makes your life the shape that it is, tomorrow will always let you start again.

Twat. Beer and a keyboard, like Thora Hird and Malcolm X, are dangerous bedfellows.

I can safely say that I have seen no ads or anything for that matter on the Smart car being pushed here in the states. The main problem that it will encounter here in the US is the fact that it\’s \”practical\” which no one understands here. ;p

Heh :) I quite like the Smart car. I think it carries on from Issigonis\’ design of the original Mini in that it\’s small on the outside and big on the inside. Except that the Mini was a small family car as opposed to a 2 seater.

I can\’t imagine many being sold in the Great Plains of Texas but I\’m sure there\’ll be one or two in New York City :)

NY…. not really. Boston, perhaps (more likely in Cambridge than in Boston) and San Fran, most likely.
