Deep Fried and Battered

A Fish & Chip shop in Newcastle has added a new seasonal dish to its menu: battered Christmas Pudding. I might have to sample this culinery delight for myself, although, for the purposes of dietary balance, I’ll have to go on a strict no-fat diet for a number of weeks before attempting it.

Certainly doesn’t sound very healthy. If a Mars bar helps you
“work rest and play”, what does a battered mars bar do?

Come to think of it, eating a few battered deserts sounds like an excellent way to build up a little extra ‘padding’ for the winter months. Battered chocolate bars are quite delicious, although I’m not sure I could stomach a battered Christmas pudding.

I’m sorry, but ewwww. I mean, really, I dunno, just the idea of making something bad for you to something much worse for you doesn’t sound that appealing.

But I’m probably just getting old.
