Apple, Pepsi and AOL

Seems like Apple aren’t holding back in their promotion of the new version of iTunes and the Music Store for Windows; they’re teaming up with both Pepsi and AOL to help sell music and iPods. This from the Macrumors live updates from the Apple Music Event:

Bono says he appreciates what Apple’s done and that’s why he’s here to “kiss corporate ass. I don’t always kiss corporate ass”

Pepsi? Bono?!? Ew, feel dirty, get it off! Get it off! Strange also that the iTunes page on apple.com looks, well, dreadful now.

Looking forward to trying out iTunes on Windows though.

I don’t think the site looks too bad, but they’ve probably made changes for Windows users. ;)

It’s a great day for Apple. I’ve been giving the link out to everyone I know who uses Windows. :D

iTunes for Windows is pretty nice. Dropped Winamp immediately and passed around the installer to co-workers. It finds other people’s playlists on the network super fast and have a very nice and polished look to it. Prefer it much more than how Quicktime was ported to the PC. Also the syncing between a Mac and PC and how to share a library between the two seems like it was well thought out (as much of their products are).

As the record companies (U2′s amongst them) become better at flooding the peer to peer community with white noise mp3s so this ITunes service will grow, no wonder Bono wants to kiss “corporate bottom”, he’ll get even richer and be able to give more money to good causes.

    Interesting article on ‘wow’ technology
