Anatomy of a Web Page
Safari’s Activity window displays all the component files downloaded for a particular web page. Each item is clickable, making it easy to view stylesheets, images and scripts associated to a particular site. It also makes it easy to calculate a pages size in kilobytes, useful if you’re planning on entering the 5k competition.
In Safari, go to Window > Activity

Matt Says:Glad to be of service! I’m just wondering what other useful features Safari has hidden away.

Kev Says:That is useful. There’s a great "Page profile" (or something) feature in Mozilla which is basically this, only much more in depth. It’s very useful when trying to make sense of other people’s code etc.
For me the most annoying thing about Safari is that it won’t tell you an image’s dimensions, forcing you to open another app just to find out this rather basic information. Every time this annoys me I use the bug button… not quite what it’s meant for I know.
